The modules can either be plugged directly into an ET 200pro CPU or connected to a central controller via PROFINET or PROFIBUS. It is also possible to connect to the central controller wirelessly via WLAN, which allows the use of the SIMATIC ET 200pro for electric monorail systems, automated guided vehicles, in building management, and in warehouse logistics. Due to its comprehensive range of modules, it is especially useful where a fine-modular configuration with different functions is required in harsh ambient conditions.
