Description

Area of application: PRCD-S protection device:
The NM5p mains monitoring device provides reliable protection against electrical accidents in the event of faults on the power supply side when installed in accordance with the regulations for RCDs and contactors. (Example: Faultily wired plug-in devices)

Fault detection:
NM5p cannot be switched on or switches off in the event of:

Phase fault:
Drop of one or more phase voltages against star point below 183Vrms, main circuit cannot be switched on or switches off.

Neutral conductor missing or carrying voltage against protective conductor:
Rise of neutral voltage >20Vrms against protective conductor, main circuit cannot be switched on or switches off.

Protective conductor interrupted or carries voltage against measuring reference:
Rise in voltage at protective conductor >20Vrms , main circuit cannot be switched on or switches off.

Protection against automatic restart:
After voltage interruption, protection against automatic restart prevents uncontrolled starting of electrical devices.
