Description
FR NEO switch disconnectors are used in switchboards and electrical cabinets to disconnect and disconnect live low-voltage circuits. They are used as main, motor, and safety switches. They feature a dual system of visible contacts with a snap-action mechanism.
The FR NEO switch disconnector serves two primary functions:
Current conduction - Allows current to flow under rated conditions, as well as for a specified period under overload conditions (e.g., short circuits). This allows the device to function as a main, motor, or safety switch, ensuring continuity of power supply under normal conditions.
Circuit isolation
Provides insulating properties, enabling safe disconnection and disconnection of the circuit even when live.
The visible contact system (dual system of contacts with a snap-action mechanism) allows for clear identification of the device’s status (connected or disconnected), which is crucial for safe operation and maintenance. This solution ensures that the switch not only maintains current continuity but also ensures safe working conditions during maintenance or emergency operations. The NEO series switch disconnectors comply with the IEC/EN 60947-3 standard.
