The SINAMICS G110D frequency inverter series is the solution for basic drive tasks, especially in the field of conveyor systems. The inverter allows the speed of three-phase asynchronous (induction) motors to be continually controlled and fulfills the requirements of conveyor-related applications with open-loop frequency control. It can be optimally integrated into the system thanks to its compact and low-profile design in an IP65 degree of protection. It can be optimally integrated into the Siemens TIA world of automation via AS-Interface. Further, the simple commissioning and maintenance as a result of the same, standard plug-in connections of the bus, power and I/O connections (ISO23570) for the complete range of power ratings is advantageous. In addition, the modular drive solution and thus standardized, individually tested mechatronics elements and the avoidance of long motor cables between inverter and motor are key features of distributed drive technology. The omission of the control cabinet (thus reduced space and cooling requirements) and the possibility of large spatial extension in conveyor technology are further important features. The SINAMICS G110D is available in a three-phase voltage range between 380 V and 500V, in a performance range between 0.75 kW and 7.5 kW and in the frame sizes FSA to FSC. The inverter can be operated with or without maintenance switch. Thanks to the optional maintenance switch (this cannot be retrofitted), when service is required, the inverter can be simply disconnected from the line supply. Further, the G110D features an integrated braking chopper and an integrated class A EMC filter (acc. to EN 55011). Braking resistors, an Intelligent Operator Panel IOP Handheld, a local manual control including key switch, a memory card, a card holder for the memory card, etc. are additionally available.
