Description
A differential circuit breaker is an electrical safety device designed to interrupt power flow in the event of a fault. It combines overload and short-circuit protection with residual current detection to reduce risks related to electric shocks or insulation failures.
**Electrical Specifications:**
Single-pole + neutral design rated at 16 amperes. Operates under 230V AC systems with a residual current threshold of 30mA for leakage detection. Tripping characteristic classified as "B," suitable for protecting circuits with resistive and mild inductive loads, such as lighting or basic devices. Supports maximum breaking capacity (Icu) of up to 6kA.
**Application Type & Features:**
Type A classification ensures sensitivity to both AC and pulsed DC components in residual currents. Fits consumer-level distributions where moderate leakage concerns exist but advanced industrial coverage isn't required. QC – QuickConnect terminals prevent loose contacts during installation; suited for simplified wiring setups, particularly where reliable physical connection matters over recabling options during maintenance.
- Only intended for use in single-phase residential or light commercial applications.
- Will not trip correctly against faults exclusively involving pure DC components.
- Rated temperature must be adhered strictly — avoid usage above ambient limits stated by panel specs.
