Description

The Eaton Bussmann series 170M5494 is a high-speed square body fuse engineered for demanding semiconductor protection and AC power applications. Featuring a rated voltage of 1250 V AC and an amperage rating of 500 A, this size-2 fuse conforms to IEC 60269-4 standards for reliable performance in critical environments such as DC common bus systems, DC drives, power converters, and rectifiers. Its flush-end contact design ensures seamless mounting within tight spaces, complemented by M10 mounting dimensions.

Constructed with a robust breaking capacity of 100 kA, the fuse offers pre-arcing I²t values of 48 kA²s and clearing I²t levels of up to 380 kA²s at maximum voltage conditions. Watt losses are specified at 95 W during operation. The unit incorporates Type K micro indicators for enhanced monitoring capabilities where required. Physically compact at dimensions of 61 x 77 x 91 mm (W x D x H) with a weight of approximately 568.5 g, it facilitates straightforward integration into electrical systems.

Designed under compliance with CE directives and RoHS standards, the Bussmann series square body fuse delivers both regulatory adherence and optimal protection efficiency. This product is ideal for distributors or equipment manufacturers seeking durable overcurrent protection in high-power electronic architectures requiring precise operational reliability across varied industrial contexts.
