Om loopsporen op de buitenwand betrouwbaar te vermijden, beschikt het weerbeschermingsrooster van gelakte staalplaat over een druiprand. Wanneer buitenlucht als warmtebron wordt gebruikt, zijn er geen aanvullende isolatiemaatregelen voor de buis vereist. Dit laat een eenvoudige installatie bij geringe afmetingen toe.
