RV4-1/440 Surge Suppressor

The RV4-1/440 surge suppressor is a varistor-based accessory designed to mitigate high-voltage surges and dampen transient frequencies in control circuits associated with contactor operation. Voltage peaks of several kilovolts can develop during the opening of contactor coils, leading to potential system disruptions or equipment damage. This surge suppressor effectively limits such overvoltage events while enhancing the reliability of connected electrical systems.

 

Engineered for compatibility with AFC-series block contactors (AFC09–AFC80), the device supports both flexible and rigid connections, accommodating wire sizes from 0.75 mm² to 2.5 mm² and offering stripped-wire lengths of 10 mm at a nominal tightening torque of 1.2 N·m via screw terminals. Rated for control circuit voltages between 250 V AC and 440 V AC at frequencies of either 50 Hz or 60 Hz, it is suitable for various industrial applications requiring robust interference suppression.

 

Constructed for durability under diverse environmental conditions, operational temperature ranges span -20 °C to +70 °C, with storage tolerances extending from -40 °C to +80 °C.
