Description

### RC4-2/260 Surge Suppressor for Low-Voltage Control Circuits

The RC4-2/260 is a surge suppressor designed for block contactors and associated control circuits, offering reliable suppression of voltage peaks and high-frequency pre-damping voltages. These transient surges, often exceeding several kV during the coil disconnection of a contactor, are effectively limited by this device to protect sensitive components and ensure stable operation in industrial automation systems.

This unit operates within an ambient temperature range of -20°C to +70°C and is compatible with control circuit voltages from 110 to 260 V AC (50/60 Hz). It supports flexible wires (0.75–2.5 mm²) or rigid wires (1–2.5 mm²), with ferrule compatibility options provided for easy wiring configurations. The device features robust screw terminals capable of accommodating tightening torques of up to 1.2 N·m in IEC setups or 11 in·lb under UL standards.

Specifically engineered for AFC40, AFC52, and AFC65 block contactors, the RC4-2/260 holds compliance certifications including CE Declaration, UKCA Declaration, REACH Directive adherence, RoHS II conformity per EU Directive 2011/65/EU (+ Amendment 2015/863), as well as WEEE Category status for business applications. Its compact design measures just 36 mm x 44 mm x 32 mm with a lightweight construction of only 0.015 kg — enabling streamlined integration into space-constrained panels while supporting operational sustainability through its durable components.

Ideal for demanding electrical environments such as industrial automation systems requiring enhanced protection against transient overvoltage events caused by inductive loads disconnecting from circuits abruptly.
