S7-PDIAG allows the configuration of the process diagnostics for SIMATIC with the programming languages LAD, FBD, or STL. The process diagnostics allow erroneous states to be detected outside of the automation system (e.g. limit switch not reached). In combination with SIMATIC HMI display devices and the SIMATIC ProAgent option package, which is specially attuned to process diagnostics, S7-PDIAG becomes a powerful tool. PDIAG is available in the TIA Portal via SIMATIC ProDiag with extended functions for the S7-1500.
