Description
A residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) is designed to disconnect the electrical supply in a system if it detects an imbalance or leakage current between the live conductors and earth. This device prevents electric shock hazards and reduces the risk of fire caused by insulation faults.
### Electrical Ratings & Performance
Rated for operation at 40A nominal current with a breaking capacity of 6kA. Designed to trip when leakage exceeds a sensitivity threshold of 30mA — typically used in residential, light-commercial setups where human safety is critical. Complies with Type A classification, suitable for detecting both AC and pulsating direct currents from electronic equipment.
### Connection Features
Features QuickConnect terminals for faster wiring without tools. Supports modular installation systems; standard width matches other DIN rail components for panel uniformity. Screwless design minimizes connection error risks during setup, especially crucial in high-density cabinets.

#### Technical Notes / Constraints:
- Max operating voltage: ≤230/400V AC (50Hz).
- Temperature range: –25°C to +40°C ambient conditions recommended.
- Double-terminal tolerance must not exceed allowable conductor size limits (locked spec sheet values required).
- Not compatible with DC-only installations—strictly limited to mixed or pure AC circuits incorporating harmonic risks evident under load transients.
