The CU230P-2 Control Unit is part of the modular SINAMICS G120 inverter (comprising power unit, control unit, operator panel). The SINAMICS Control unit is specifically designed for drives with integrated technology functions required in building technology and the process industry. The CU230P-2 Control Unit controls and monitors the power unit (Power Module) and the connected motor; several control modes can be selected. It allows communication to a local or central control system as well as to monitoring equipment – and is used to connect all process-relevant auxiliary units and external components, such as sensors, valves, contactors, etc. The I/O interface, the fieldbus interfaces and the additional software functions optimally support applications in building technology and the process industry. The inverter communication interface is defined when selecting the CU230P-2. The following integrated communication versions are available: CU230P-2 HVAC with USS, Modbus RTU and BACnet MS/TP protocols, P1 protocol for HVAC. CU230P-2 DP PROFIBUS and CU230P-2 PN PROFINET, EtherNet/IP for the process industry. In the SINAMICS G120 system, the Control Unit can be operated with the following Power Modules: PM240-2 (0.55 kW to132 kW) and PM240 (up to 250 kW). In the SINAMICS G120P system, the Control Unit is operated with the following Power Modules: PM230 (up to 90 kW), PM 240 (up to 132 kW). SINAMICS - simply my drive!
