Description

This is the digital module "IEC 61850 data model" for Micrologic X trip unit on MasterPact MTZ offer. A digital module is an advanced function that can be uploaded in Micrologic X trip unit at any stage of the product life cycle. Digital modules allow you to customize MasterPact MTZ circuit breaker to your specific needs. The digital modules are available 24/7 on the Schneider Electric GoDigital store (godigital.schneider-electric.com). The upload of the digital modules is made without interrupting power, using EcoStruxure Power Commission software and a USB cable. This digital module provides MTZ circuit breaker data (class 1 energy metering, electrical measurements, status and control) over ethernet network conforming to IEC 61850 MMS communication protocol. Its installation on Micrologic X control unit will automatically enable IEC 61850 MMS communication protocol on IFE or EIFE communication interface in addition to existing Modbus TCP/IP protocol. The EIFE firmware (greater than or equal to V004.000.xxx) is compatible with this digital module. The IFE standalone (LV434001) firmware (greater than or equal to V004.000.xxx) is compatible with this digital module. The Micrologic X control unit firmware (greater than or equal to V004.000.xxx) is compatible with this digital module. Earlier firmware versions need to be upgraded. The IEC 61850 MMS (Manufacturing Message Specification) communication protocol helps integrating low voltage circuits breakers in medium voltage installation without the need of additional gateway. Communication of low voltage circuit breakers data to IEC 61850 supervision systems (EcoStruxure Substation Operation based on PACiS technology) becomes smooth and easy.
