It contains all configuration and programming tools required for generating a safety-oriented program which is seamlessly integrated into the STEP 7 user interface and consistently marked as a safety-related resource. You do not need additional engineering expertise, because the programming is done in the traditional STEP 7 environment. The programming languages FBD (function block diagram) and LAD (ladder logic) and the integrated libraries with TÃœV (German Technical Inspectorate)-certified function block diagrams are available for creating the Safety program. The library concept supports company-internal standardization and simplifies the validation of safety-related applications.
