The Internet of Things (IoT) or Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), is the extension of the Internet to connected devices. XIOT is a wireless solution to collect data from remote equipment and use this data, on a PC or mobile device. This XIOT reference correspond to a Cloud connected sensor plus a prepaid 5-year access to Cloud. This IOT offer is based on LPWAN (low power wide area network) technology, operated by Sigfox. The XIOT Cloud connected sensor is a solution to monitor assets in areas without electricity or difficult-to-access areas. Associated with a pressure switch or a limit switch, this Cloud connected sensor provides precise, reliable data about remote installations in real time. The XIOT Cloud connected switch is powered by built-in Lithium battery with a lifespan of over 5 years. It uses antennas with a range of around 50km. This IOT connected sensor is an IP66 product, for indoor or outdoor applications (-25°C to +70°C). The XIOT casing is made of PBT and PA. It features a 2m PVC cable. Its dimensions are 50mm (width) x 45mm (depth) x 100mm (height). It weighs 0.216kg. This transmitter is intended for areas without electricity or difficult-to-access areas, such as agricultural applications, water treatment applications, for mining and quarrying applications. The XIOT transmitter conforms to CE and Sigfox ready certifications, as well as EN 62368-1, EN 300-220, EN 301-489 radio standards and R&TTE directive. It is compatible with the XC limit switches and with XMLA, XMLB, XMLC, XMLD pressure switches. It comprises the transmitter, an activation magnet, a 5year subscription to Sigfox LPWAN, the web interface to configure and display data, the Smartphone apps for alert notifications (iOS and Android). The transmitter can easily be mounted on a flat surface, with 2 screws (4 mm). XIOT is the first EcoStruxure ready sensor for remote device monitoring. (EcoStruxure is Schneider Electric’s IoT platform). The XIOT range includes 3 options (a stanalone transmitter, a prepaid 5year access to Cloud and subscription services).
