This connector has a unique ‘U’ contact that provides a quick and dependable electrical connection.Get a quick, dependable and insulated electrical connection with 3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical IDC 558, Run and Tap, Flame Retardant. The connector electrically connects a 0.5mm to 1.5mm (tap) wire end to a through (run) wire. A live spring joint is made by driving the U contact down into the connector. As the U contact is pressed into the connector, it grasps the conductors as it displaces insulation. Contact grips conductor and holds with a firm, resilient pressure. 3M Scotchlok wire connectors offer quick, reliable connection with a simple snap and a squeeze, no stripping or twisting.
